Back in May I was privileged to be involved in supplying flowers for a rustic styled photoshoot.
Organised by the lovely Rachel Lilly Photography, the shoot was set on her grandparents farm and included a heap of talented suppliers, many of whom had made connections through exhibiting at The Vintage Wedding fayres so it was great to see their creative talents coming together to provide rustic, country styled wedding inspiration.
We decided on a pastel colour scheme with a few pops of colour so for the flowers I used some lemon yellow peonies and peach Vuvuzela roses together with lots of textured fillers including eryngium thistle, hypericum berries, waxflower, homegrown aquilegia, lavender, nigella seed pods and grasses for a really rustic, picked-out-the-field vibe.
Rachel did a fantastic job of capturing the rustic beauty of all our designs, including jewellery by Tilly Minx Vintage, cakes by Pastel and Lace, accessories and props by Wedding Creations and vintage crockery and cutlery by Let Them Drink Tea. The shoot also featured beautiful hair and make-up by Victoria Jones Make-Up Artist and a wedding dress from Cotswold Vintage Bridal.
Thanks should also go to the happy couple; two of Rachel’s friends who were fabulous and ensured the shoot radiated with fun and happiness – just what a ‘real’ wedding should be like!
