When it comes to planning your wedding flowers you’re sure to have lots of questions, here are the answers to some which I get asked most frequently:
When should I book my florist?
As soon as possible! I regularly take booking 12-18 months in advance, especially for popular summer or bank holiday dates.
Do you require a booking fee?
Yes, I ask for a non-refundable £200 booking fee to secure the date which is deducted from the final balance.
Do I have to choose my flowers straight away?
No, I take a £200 booking fee to secure the date, we can discuss ideas and around 6-8 weeks before your date I’d look to finalise the order.
We live abroad, how can we discuss our ideas?
We can chat through ideas over Skype/Facetime or simply via email.
When will I need to pay the balance?
The full balance will need to be paid no later than 4 weeks before your wedding day.
Do you charge delivery?
Yes, there is a delivery charge to cover fuel. I will let you know the delivery cost to your venue when I provide your detailed quote.
Can you deliver some of the buttonholes to another address?
Yes I can if not too far or they can be left at the ceremony venue if I’m doing flowers there (hopefully the groom will arrive in good time!)
What time will my flowers be delivered?
Generally I’d deliver your flowers approximately 2 hours prior to the ceremony but I always aim to be flexible.
Do you charge for hire of vases, props etc?
Most of the prices for my designs include the use of the container when filled with flowers; there are some exceptions such as for candelabras or items hired in from an external supplier. Should you require additional props for styling without the flowers you can take a look at my Props for Hire page here.
How many weddings do you do per day?
I do a maximum of two but depending on the size of your order, yours may be the only wedding that day or even that week!
Can we keep the flowers after the wedding?
Yes of course! I will only take back any hired items such as vases and other props. If you’re not sure what to do with all your flowers consider donating them to a local hospice or care home.
Is there a minimum order value?
During the peak wedding season (1st March – 30th September, 1st-31st December) there is a minimum order value of £1000 for bespoke wedding flowers. Wedding orders in January, February and November are subject to a £700 minimum spend.
How can we pay?
I can accept bacs, cheques or cash only
Are you insured?
Yes, I have Public Liability insurance and can present the certificate to you should you wish to see it.
