A festival wedding in the fields of Worcestershire

Posted on January 8th, 2017

I was absolutely blessed with being a part of some wonderful weddings in 2016 and Liz and Danny’s fabulous festival wedding is no exception! The setting at Out to Grass amidst the rolling Worcestershire hills was absolutely perfect for a festival style wedding, with a cool Geodome party space, glamping pods, campfires and magical woodlands. The couple chose Joanna Briggs Photography to capture their beautiful day and the images below are testament to her soft, romantic style, just right for a whimsical, festival wedding.

Liz chose to go for a wild, boho bouquet full of lush foliages, dainty wildflowers and grasses along with some statement peonies and protea for true wow-factor! I absolutely love creating natural, unstructured bouquets full of unusual elements for a wild, ‘just-picked’ feel and Lizzie’s bouquet is definitely one of my favourites.

If the wild, statement bouquet wasn’t enough Lizzie finished her stunning boho look with a half flower crown, made from dainty florals and textured foliage which I must say looked totally gorgeous!

Ahead of what’s looking like a big 2017 trend, Lizzie’s bridesmaids held bouquets with a mix of lush green foliage including three varieties of eucalyptus, fern, ruscus and foraged greenery along with a few dainty waxflowers. They also had boho flower crowns in keeping with the festival wedding vibe.

The gents buttonholes reflected the lush, abundance and were rustic bunches of white flowers, foliage, seedheads, buds and grasses bound with twine.

I could leave it there with photos of the flowers I did but this wedding is so filled with love, fun and happiness I can’t help but share some more for you to enjoy! Thanks to Danny and Lizzie for having me play a small part in their big day and to Joanna for letting me share these images too.

If you’re planning your own boho wedding then don’t hesitate to get in touch for wild, boho bouquets and festival style florals.
