I love using rich colour palettes for Autumn wedding flowers so when Michelle and Rob choose a deep marsala red paired with pale blush creams and pinks I couldn’t wait to get creative and choose some lovely seasonal flowers for their Elmore Court wedding.
I used deep burgundy dahlias, astrantia, and delicious chocolate cosmos for the rich marsala colours, along with cream Cafe Au Lait dahlias and blush Quicksand roses. Included in the ingredients were lots of textural grass, Autumnal berries and eucalyptus foliages.
Michelle’s bouquet was a loose, unstructured hand-tied, with flowing eucalyptus foliage and a stunning statement Cafe Au dahlia and Autumnal pheasant feathers. The four bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet using roses, dahlias, cosmos, waxflowers and eucalyptus. Michelle also had a floral comb of waxflowers and dainty spray roses to pin above her gorgeous veil.
The groom and groomsmen wore rustic buttonhole of eryngium thistles, waxflowers and eucalyptus foliage which looked great against their dark grey jackets, Rob’s buttonhole also included a miniature burgundy dahlia to tie in with the colours in the bridal bouquets.
The ceremony room at Elmore was decorated with a large urn arrangement on the table at the front of the aisle and a stunning garland of Cafe Au Lait and burgundy dahlias, Quicksand roses, chocolate cosmos and eucalyptus foliage.
The Gillyflower was simply dressed with garlands of eucalyptus foliage down the centre of long trestles, dotted with copper candlesticks for a hint of metallic warmth and cute ivory pumpkins to reflect the season.
Congratulations to lovely Michelle and Rob, it was absolute pleasure to flower up this stunning Autumn wedding and a pleasure to work with such a lovely couple.
