As you know I’m a fan of colour so when Sylva told me the brief for her summer wedding at Deer Park Hall was to use ALL the colours I could lay my flowery mitts on I was super keen to get creating! In the middle of July I was spoilt for choice when it came to using seasonal blooms so it all went in, from cornflowers and cosmos to daisies and dahlias they all came together for a ‘just picked’ country garden look. I also included lots of textures by adding in grasses, craspedia and lush foliages.

Sylva chose a trailing style bouquet but I kept it natural and informal by using dainty flowers and feathery ferns. Her maids each had a colourful hand tied posy version of her bouquet and there were flowers in everyone’s hair.

The couple’s ceremony took place at Fladbury church, which I decorated with vintage churn arrangements, overflowing with summer flowers; little bunches as pew ends and trailing arrangements hung on the stone pillars.

After the ceremony in Fladbury the wedding party moved onto Deer Park Hall for the reception. The tables were simply decorated with jugs of bright blooms, whilst the top table was dressed with a long, low arrangement using lots of trailing foliage. I also filled a vintage crate with summer flowers to welcome guests as they arrived and had drinks on the lawn in the sunshine.
