I blinkin love it when a couple sends me a link to their wedding album, and when it’s full of gorgeous images of my flowers it makes my day! So when Jenny sent me a link to her wedding photo’s by the fabulous Hannah at Lifeline Photography I think I actually did a little happy dance!
The wedding was a laid back, country affair in a marquee at Park Mill Farm near Wooton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire and was full of DIY and quirky touches that really personalise a wedding day. Jenny and her friends and family decorated the venue with lots of cottage garden and wild flowers and enlisted me to create the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets and the chaps buttonholes so without further ado here they are:
Jenny’s bouquet was full of gorgeous late-Spring – early-Summer flowers including stunning Coral Charm peonies, roses, sweet peas, tulips, stocks, freesia and daisies so smelt as good as it looked! There wasn’t a set colour scheme but Jenny requested a mix of pastels and brights in a loose, natural mix.
The five lovely bridesmaids had simple posies of daisies, a really lovely alternative to the more commonly used gypsophila bouquets and they looked lovely against their coral and mint green dresses. I bound them simply with twine and left the stems fairly long for a more elegant style.
The boys all had slightly different rustic bunched buttonholes which included feathers and were tied off with twine.
Back in the marquee at Park Mill Farm I also supplied a few flowers to pop on the scrummy naked cake which Jenny’s mum had created, with it’s super-cute crochet toppers!
There’s so many more fabulous pictures of this happy day I really couldn’t choose which to share so here’s a few more!
